Thijs had his first birthday on June 15th, so of course we threw a party.  We found a bakery that made "American Style" birthday cakes and order a Teletubbies cake (his favorite).   Karen and Margaret were visiting from the states and Andy and Iveta made a trip over from London!   Dave, Constanze and Ali came too, and even Kasper (from next door) stopped by!   Thijs received some _great_ presents!

	We really enjoyed the watermelon.
Thijs didn't quite get the idea of blowing out the candle. Luckily Margaret was there to help out.	These are Dutch TeleTubbies -- see the windmill?
Andy and Iveta gave me a suitcase for my trip to the US.

After the party, we went to Wagamama with Karen, Margaret and Constanze.  Thijs even wore his little Wagamama T-Shirt!

When we returned to the apartment after dinner, Margaret gave us a mini-recital, performing a tap routine to a song from "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and a ballet routine.

Thijs was the DJ for the recital.
